A kontinuum: kortárs haiku_contemporary haiku folyóirat szerkesztőiként célunk, hogy a kortárs, (poszt)modern haiku műfaját népszerűsítsük és beemeljük a magyar nyelvű irodalomkritikai és -elméleti diskurzusba. Egyfelől teret adunk a magyar nyelven alkotó szerzőknek a haiku-műfaj feltérképezésére, határainak kitapintására és feszegetésére, az azzal kapcsolatos kísérletezésre, másfelől pedig a nemzetközi (elsősorban angol nyelvű) kortárs haiku-szcénát, -szerzőket és -diskurzust is ismertebbé tennénk Magyarországon azáltal, hogy angol (és esetleg más) nyelvű haikukat is megjelentetünk.
Egyelőre kizárólag haikut (és szenrjút), illetve a műfajjal foglalkozó és ahhoz kapcsolódó kritikákat, esszéket és tanulmányokat közlünk. Ez a jövőben persze változhat: ha így lesz, szólunk.
A kontinuum évente két alkalommal jelenik meg, kizárólag online; mind az aktuális, mind pedig a korábbi számok ezen az oldalon olvashatók, illetve PDF formátumban letölthetők, ingyenesen. Tervezünk alkalmi antológiákat és különszámokat is, de ez még a jövő zenéje.

As editors of the journal kontinuum: kortárs haiku_contemporary haiku, we aim to popularize the genre of contemporary and (post)modern haiku and to integrate it into the Hungarian critical and theoretical discourse. On the one hand, we provide a venue for haijin writing in Hungarian to explore and push the boundaries of, and experiment with, the genre of haiku; on the other, we want to spread the word in Hungary about developments regarding the international contemporary haiku scene, poets and discourse by publishing haiku in English (and potentially in other languages).
For the time being, we only plan to publish haiku (including senryu) as well as reviews, essays, and articles on and related to the genre. This of course may change in the future; if that happens, you’ll be the first to know.
kontinuum is published biannually, exclusively online. Our current issue as well as back issues are available to be read (or downloaded as PDF files) on this website, free of charge. We have plans to put together the occasional anthology and special issue, but that’s the future.
